A building on the popular Balogun market located at Lagos Island is on fire.
In videos shared on social media, the fire was seen billowing from a building in the crowded market.
According to The Punch, the burning building is a shopping plaza located at 43, Martins Street, Lagos Island.
Men of the Lagos State fire service and other security agents are on the ground as of the time of filing this report.
Also, occupants of the building were seen making efforts to salvage their goods from the multi-storey building.
