World Children’s Day: Top Nigerian Artistes Join UNICEF To Release Song On Child Right

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, CRC, top Nigerian artistes including Niniola, TuBaba, Chidinma, Timi Dakolo, Umar M. Sheriff and Cobhams Asuquo launched a song titled “For Every Child,”

HSENations understands that the special song features children singing with the artists to call for every Nigerian child’s rights to be respected.

“With this song, we are urging all people to call for every right for every child. Every Nigerian child deserves a fair chance to a safe and healthy future and to fulfill their dreams,” said Peter Hawkins, UNICEF Nigeria Representative.

UNICEF is commemorating World Children’s Day, which marks the anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, with children’s ‘take-overs’ to give children their own platform to help save children’s lives, fight for their rights and fulfil their potential. It is a day for children, by children. In Nigeria these activities include children’s takeovers of media houses across the country amongst other local initiatives.
