SON Accident ; FRSC Patrol Vehicle Driving Against Traffic Crashes
A patrol vehicle belonging to the Federal Road safety Corp, FRSC, this evening, crashed into an oncoming hilux belonging to the Standard Organisation of Nigeria, SON along Eleme axis of East west road.
The accident occurred close Aleto Bridge, along Eleme – Akpajo axis of East west road, Port Harcourt Rivers Stateas.
The FRSC vehicle ran into another oncoming hilux belonging to the Standard Organisation of Nigeria, SON.
According to an eye witnesses account, the FRSC hilux was running one-way against trafic, was allegedly chasing another vehicle until it ran into the SON hilux vehicle which was on its right of way.
Although no life was lost, but both vehicles were damaged beyond repair.
Facebook user, Dae Stephen Deegbara who reported the story on his time-line said it took the intervention of the Leader of Conscience of Ogoni People, Chief Gani U. Topba, who ran into the scene to rescue the victims and some personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC from mob attack.
