Heavy Floods Hit Greek Island, Cause Five Deaths.

HSENations has learnt that a flood tragedy terminating the lives of five people struck the Greek island of Evia, today.

According to a report, a baby was among the dead victims and another person was missing as torrential rains and flood damaging dozens of houses and blocking roads swept the community.

The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, reiterated his “profound pain for the loss of lives”.

Ana Fanis Spanos, a lawmaker from the central Greece region also described the incident as a nightmare.

About 100 firefighters and two helicopters, as well as the coastguard, were reportedly deployed to rescue those trapped.
