“…begged motorist to shun wrongful overtaking.”
A report has revealed that three vehicles were involved in a fatal road accident that occurred on Lagos-Abeokuta highway today.
The report stated further that a Rescue Officer of the State’s Traffic compliance and enforcement agency (TRACE) attributed the cause of the accident involving a Truck, Lexus vehicle and Mazda Bus to wrongful overtaking.
The officer, Mr Adekoya Adeola, in an interview with newsmen in Ota, narrated that no less than 16 people were affected, with two dead and three escaping with varying degree of injury.

He opined, “The corpses of the victims have been deposited at the Ijaiye State Hospital in Abeokuta while the survivors are receiving treatment at the same hospital”.
According to an eye witness, the Lexus car was heading towards Abeokuta Interchange, where it made a wrong overtaking, colliding with a truck.
While also commiserating the families of the victims, Adeola begged motorist to shun wrongful overtaking.
