Ilodiuba Flees as FHC Motions Arrest for Disobedience
The Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, are in motion to ensure compliance to its Judgement made towards resolving the leadership crisis of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON).
According to a statement made available to HSENations on July 22nd, the FHC, Port Harcourt had summoned Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba as he was deemed to have violated the court judgement.
The FHC had on March 1st, 2021, issued a judgement in suit No FHC/PHC/CS/ 112/2020, that sacked Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba as President of ISPON and restrained him from further parading himself as President of the Institute.
According to a section of the Ruling, “An order of perpetual injunction restraining the 1st respondent from further parading himself as the President of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria.”
The court had further directed an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect a new President and Governing Board of the institute.
The election was held on April 29, 2021 resulting in the emergence of Mr. Kaizer Ebi, as the new President of the Safety Institute.
According to the statement, Dr. Ilodiuba was served by a bailiff of court with committal proceedings on why he should not be sent to prison for disobedience to the Federal High Court judgement.
It was gathered that Ilodiuba had allegedly fled the court as he refused to sign the process which made the bailiff drop same at his feet.
All efforts made by HSENations to get a statement from Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba proved abortive as at time of filing this report.
