IOSH set to Organize “A Brighter, Safer Future safety Conference

 

To enable workers and businesses imbibe the culture of safety at their workplaces, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) will bring together various safety stakeholders from different safety bodies at a conference in September.
The conference themed, “A Brighter, Safer Future – for Workers, for Businesses, for West Africa” will avail special keynote presentations and panel discussions from stakeholders in the World Health Organization, the United Nations Global Compact, the Lagos State Safety Commission, among others, on the benefits that workplace safety and health can create for individuals, communities and society.

The conference, which will also take place online, between September 16 to 17, will discuss and debate key issues that face the business community regionally and globally taking into great consideration how the application of good safety and health principles at work will bring sustainable competitive advantage. Among other safety issues that will be discussed at the conference include: health and safety within the healthcare sector and educational settings; and the leadership role of women in the occupational safety and health profession.

With believe that this year’s event will be an improvement of last year’s event which was attended by over 900 representatives of government departments, and birthed its West Africa Division, IOSH provides that the full programme and registration details can be accessed by participants on www.iosh.com/wac.
