Causes and effects of structural fire to the environment

Causes and effects of structural fire to the environment.
We celebrate all firefighters around the world who have painstakingly gone the extra miles to save lives.
In this article, we continue from our previous article (Structural fire and types within our environment). This article will focus on the causes and effects that structural fire has on the safety of individuals and their environment. There are so many causes how structural fire occurs, but we will be discussing the most important ones.
Fire can be a natural disaster or initiated disaster depending on the situation surrounding it cause. Their various source of fire disasters of which structure fire is a typical type.
What is structural fire?(Structural fire and types within our environment)
1.Short circuit, ground faults.
A short circuit is what happens when a hot wire makes contact with neutral or ground wires. This creates a huge amount of current that travels back to the electrical source via the neutral or ground wires. This often causes circuit breakers to trip and cut off power to anything powered by that particular circuit. But a ground fault occurs when hot wire makes contact with a ground wire or a grounded part of the electrical system, like an electrical box. Both occur when a current bypasses the full wiring system and uses an alternate route to return to the electrical source. Short circuits and ground faults can both cause electrical shocks and fires.
2.Combustion placed too close to heat source.
While combustion itself is a heat generating reaction, it becomes more difficult when it’s placed near a heating source. Too much energy source and intermittent reactions can lead to structural fire thereby leading to loss of lives and properties.
3. Discarded heat source.
Any form of heat source can lead to fire if left unguarded properly, unguarded heat source like ashes from cigarettes, fireplace, wood stove placed in combustible material or container. All this can lead to structural fire. A tiny fire can cause a huge destruction to both lives and properties. Cigarettes stick and all source of unguarded heat should be controlled and discarded carefully to ensure the safety of the environment.
4.Unlawful incendiary.
Incendiary device means any flammable material or container containing a flammable liquid or material whose ignition by fire, friction, concussion, detonation, or other method produces destructive effects primarily through combustion rather than explosion. Incendiary devices are often likely to cause structural hazards and disasters if left unattended to. Flammable material should be treated with great care and caution at all time. This will help put into measure any forms of combustion or explosion that occur.
5. Fog and smoke.
Fog and smoke may seem little or intangible cause of structural disaster, but they sure can cause structural fire which brings about those safety issues. Our environment should be well cleaned and taken care of, if there is a need for dirty or material which are out of use to be burnt, safety personnel should ensure they monitor and check area during and after burning to ensure every particle is correctly trashed.
Most home and office fire are often caused by little carefree attitude, so it is very important that all hands are always on desks to follow up with safety at all time.
