Ahead of the reopening of airports for business operations, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has released new guidelines for passengers.

FAAN said passengers must arrive at airports three hours before boarding flight ahead of the resumption of commercial flights in the country.

FAAN in a tweet via it’s official Twitter account on Monday said early arrival by travellers would enable efficient checks and screening before boarding.

The authority also urged travellers to maintain two metres distance from each other at the airports while noting that persons without face masks would not be allowed into airports’ premises.

FAAN tweeted, “COVID-19 Flight Resumption Protocol for Passengers: You are advised to arrive at the airport three hours before your flight due to the new COVID-19 safety checks.”

Meanwhile, the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu has said that the civil aviation authorities would determine the resumption of domestic flights in the country.
