Over 50 students, lecturers benefit from Training on Process Safety
Over 50 students from the Petroleum Training Institute, Delta State, have been beneficiaries of free trainings courtesy of DM Sheffield Ltd. The organization also gave out prices to the best graduating students of the institute.
Speaking with the Principal Consultant of DM Sheffield, Mr. Emmanuel Okudor, he said that the free training was strictly an activity of DM Sheffield aimed at building the next generation of safety professionals.
Okudor, who is also an alumnus of the institute said, “We organized a free training lecture for over 50 students including few lecturers that could have cost 85,000 for the course. I did that all free of charge and I issued s to them in the name of DMSheffield.”
“It also included presentation of price to best graduating student from the training institute where I graduated. For me, I need to encourage the younger generations coming up.”
“I can remember during the conference, someone asked me a question: if you are called today, if anything happens who will replace? Who will stand in the gap? Who can take over? We need to train the younger ones. We need to bring them up,” the mentor said.
