O Lord you no say we no get ventilator.
A ventilator is a machine that provides mechanical ventilation by moving breathable air into and out of the lungs; a ventilator is a machine that helps a patient breathe. God is our Ventilator, He has been the one helping us breathe, He can’t stop work in this critical time that we need Him most. It looks like fun, in the real sense, God is our ventilator.
There comes a time when a person needs assistance to breathe due to some health issues or viral attack; at such point, a mechanical ventilator is required. The ventilator needs constant electricity in a clean environment to function maximally. By our actions and inactions, we have created an environment where mechanical ventilators are lacking. Due to global emergencies, there’s intense pressure on the acquisition of ventilators. Even with your money on the table, you’ll have to wait for a while to take delivery.
God knows He’s the all in all that we have. The high, mighty and the low all look up to God to do all things for us. To a very large extent, He has not failed in that assignment. God must be a Nigeria for Him to be so concern about all that concerns us.
I’m a firm believer that you don’t pray about what common sense can handle, but owing to the place we found ourselves; we can’t but push everything to Him. If God hath not being on our side to be everything for us, what would we say? Nothing affects a man like his environment, where we are has made us so special that we’ve become special breed and super human.
Our Doctors are very special: Their eyes are MRI scanners, ears Ultrasound and their hands X-ray machines. We need to celebrate our health workers who are the physical representatives of our Ventilator. The West with their sophisticated healthcare delivery will fail woefully if expose to our kind of environment. That our Ventilator is super functioning is not enough reason to disregard the instruction from our health workers of not giving legs to COVID-19. They admonished us to beak the chains of the virus by avoiding large gathering and observe social distance. The best help we would be giving the government is obeying the lockdown order, that’s actually for our good. Common sense in an uncommon dimension is wisdom, which is what we need to conquer the virus.
To avoid putting deliberate pressure on our Ventilator, that has not malfunctioned once, we need to apply wisdom.
Maintain a clean environment, wash your hands regularly, and disinfect switches, railings, doors, fridges, and freezers handle.
Let’s do what’s in our power to do and leave the rest to our Ventilator. In case you’ve come in contact with a confirmed coronavirus case or you’re experiencing the symptoms- fever, cough or difficulty breathing, contact the relevant agency immediately.
