Type of PPEĀ HSE employers must provide for safety
In HSE Industry, Accident they say can be prevented, and if the Professionals on ground e.g, Managers, Supervisor etc are very sensitive to the needs of workers then accident can be prevented to maximum. To achieve this HSE Employer must at all time provide safety to their workers.
Today, I will be discussing personal Protective equipment that all HSE industry must make available to their worker for safety.
1. Helmets
The head is the most vulnerable part of the body, such that if anything hits the head either consciously or unconsciously, the HSE person on duty will definitely feel the pain while working or when off work .
The use of helmet offers protection and can prevent head injuries. Helmet should be selected in accordance to duty of the personnel. Strength, ability to handle tensile stress and also durability should be put into consideration when opting for helmet

2. Protective Eye Glasses
While the head are the most vulnerable, the eye are the most delicate part of the body. Substance like dust, smoke etc can cause damages either short time or long time. All of these damages certainly do have impact on the work capability of the employees. With the use of safety glasses, one can be sure of reduced risk.
Safety glasses should be gotten base on the function for which it is to be used e.g a safety glass for someone who deal with wearing and electricity is different from safety glass of someone who deals with chemicals and flying particles. All these criteria must be considered before getting a safety glass for the employees.
3. Ear Plug
Individual have difference to ear sensitivity while some employees might be able to stay in a noisy Environment without getting disturbed with performing their daily duties, some may not.
The need for protection of the hearing aids must be put into consideration according to people’s work and ability to adhere.

4. Respiratory Guard
While every other is put in check , what the employee inhale should also be put into consideration. A typical example are employees who perform their duties using hazardous chemical which can be inhaled and have side effect on the lung should be given respiratory Guard like nose mask. Nose mask which should be given is also dependent on the work function. An employee who deals with water diving can not be given nose mask as these does not correlate in function.
5. Safety Boots and shoes.
The use of safety Boot or shoe is very important in HSE industry. Employees ok daily bases move from one place to another and it is then very important to ensure safety of their legs and also safety of the company ( This ensure there is prevention of cross contamination with bacterial into the company ). Safety Boots or shoes must be comfortable to wear, the size should fit perfectly but not tight that it may cause injury to the wearer.
6. Visibility Jacket or light textile material .
The use of visibility Jacket is very important as they help to prevent accident that can hinder the work capability and safety of the employees.
Also the use of light textile material is very important as to heat conductor. Light textile material should be made available when the employees are working in a heated premises.
