In a tragic incident, a factory worker was killed by an engine roller after slipping on the machine at a facility along the Sagamu-Ogijo Expressway in Ogun State. The accident occurred in the early hours of Sunday.
The spokesperson of the Ogun Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating that the deceased’s body has been deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) morgue in Sagamu.
The accident happened around 4:50 am on Sunday at the company’s plant.
The deceased slipped on the engine roller, leading to fatal injuries. Despite efforts from fellow staff members, the victim could not be saved and was crushed by the machine.
