Role Overview
As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting and enhancing the WBG Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System
- Conducting risk assessments and workplace investigations to identify and mitigate health and safety risks
- Designing and delivering comprehensive OH&S training programs
- Providing actionable recommendations to improve OH&S programs and fostering a culture of safety and accountability
- Collaborating with international partners to align OH&S initiatives across the WBG
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s preferred) in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or related fields
- Valid health and safety affiliations, memberships, or licenses
- Minimum of ten years in occupational health and safety, including global implementation and working with diverse international populations
- Technical skills in data analysis, biostatistics, epidemiology, and familiarity with major OH&S/EHS software systems
- Excellent communication abilities, organizational skills, and the capacity to build strong relationships with team members and partners
