After a vibrant and inspiring opening at the AfriSAFE 2025 Congress, stakeholders say day one exceeded expectations with its deep conversations, powerful keynote sessions and rich professional exchange across multiple sectors.
Delegates described the atmosphere as unifying, energetic and truly continental in spirit. Yet, organisers say the momentum is now shifting toward an even more glamorous experience as the event prepares to unveil its prestigious day 2 awards ceremony.
The second day will begin with a full morning session dedicated to exploration and adventure. From 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy curated tourist and adventure experiences around the host city, giving delegates a refreshing and cultural start to the day.
By 5:00 PM, the event transitions into full elegance as the evening session opens with a grand red carpet reception and full media spotlight. The entrance will set the tone for a night designed to celebrate Africa’s most outstanding safety champions.
The formal programme begins with a welcome address by the AfriSAFE Global Vice President, followed by an exquisite safetainment performance. The lead sponsor will then deliver a keynote presentation before the ceremony moves into goodwill messages and reflections from key partners and members of the judging panel.
Another safetainment segment, a special rendition titled So We Rise, will usher in the first set of award presentations. A comedy interlude follows before the second set of awards is announced, leading into the entertainment and dinner session accompanied by live performances.
The final awards presentation will be held later in the night, followed by a powerful safetainment performance. The AfriSAFE CEO will then give closing remarks, after which the bidding process for hosting the AfriSAFE 2026 edition will be opened.
The night is expected to close with networking, dancing and celebration, before the energy shifts into the official after party, allowing guests to continue the festivities deep into the night.
The event is endorsed by bodies including the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, Kenya, the Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), and the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
