The American Society of Safety Professionals, Nigeria Chapter (ASSP) has on Friday 29th, May 2020 elected new executives to manage the affairs of the society.
The election which was conducted electronically due to the Covid-19 pandemic produced five executive officers into five administrative offices for the 2020/2021 administrative year.
The newly elected executives joins Mrs. Mercy Irefo, the emeritus President-Elect (Vice President) who now takes up position of the President.
The new executives are: President Elect, Comrade Kabir Shehu; Secretary, Mr. Daniel Omonoba; Treasurer, James Coker; Delegate 1, Ms. Jamila Abdulkadir and Delegate 2, Mr. Chigozie Egbunefu.
In a statement signed by Daniel Osadiaye, nomination & Election Chairperson, he commended various volunteers that sent in their expression of interest for the various positions whilst describing their actions as couragious and of great service to humanity.
He also thanked the 2020 Nomination & Election committee for their dedication and service to the society.
