The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) says it is improving safety by deploying new technologies in the area of navigation aids in the nation’s airports.
The Acting Managing Director of NAMA, Mr Mathew Pwajok made this known on Friday in Abuja.
According to him, the move is imperative to strengthen security and safety in the aviation industry across the country.
“We are making effort to ensure automated radars are used in our airports. We are targeting to be one of the leading Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) in the world.
“To provide safe, efficient, effective and economic Air Navigation Services to airspace users through deployment of new technologies and dedicated workforce,” he said.
He said NAMA was ready to deepen relationship with the media to collectively grow the aviation sector.
