BREAKING: FG Restrains Curfew, Lifts Interstate Movement Ban

The federal government on Monday extended phase two of eased lockdown by another four weeks with effect from tomorrow Tuesday, June 30 through midnight of Monday, July 27, 2020.

This was disclosed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and chairman Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, during the daily media briefing.

Boss Mustapha also revealed that the ban on interstate movement have been lifted with effect from July 1, 2020.

Also speaking, the national coordinator of PTF, Dr. Sani Aliyu said only fifty percent of the passengers of the buses are allowed during travels.

He said: “Only 50% of the passengers are allowed with compulsory use of face mask.”

The PTF, however, reaffirmed the continuation of the nationwide curfew between 10 pm and 4 am adding that “travels are not expected at this period.”

Meanwhile, HSENations reports that the development means that Nigeria’s total confirmed cases of coronavirus have risen to twenty-four thousand, five hundred and sixty-seven (24,567) with nine thousand and seven (9,007) people discharged and five hundred and sixty-five (565) deaths recorded so far.
