The Federal Ministry of Health on Wednesday announced five new cases of coronavirus.
The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire made this known at an ongoing press conference in Abuja.
Ehanire revealed that all the new five fresh cases had a travel history from the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
“Three arrived from the US (two of which are Nigerians, a mother and her 6-week old baby). The two others arrived from the UK, both Nigerians.
“We urge Nigerians to remain calm as public health response activities are intensified across the country,” he said.
These latest cases will bring the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to eight.
