Following the increased death toll and wildfire scare across the globe over the outbreak of Coronavirus, the World Health Organisation has just characterised the deadly virus as a pandemic.
According to the WHO chief, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, COVID-19 can be characterised as a pandemic, “We have never before seen a pandemic sparked by a coronavirus.”
Joining the long list of countries the virus has invaded is Qatar, with 238 newly recorded cases, according to Aljazeera on Wednesday, likewise ,Italy has recorded 366 deaths since the outbreak last week.
Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany foresees two-thirds of the country being infected. The U.S., with 31 deaths and more than 1,000 cases and business disruptions, weighs possible responses.
