COVID-19: What Commissioner For Health Said ‘Will’ Happen By August

Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi has disclosed that COVID-19 cases are likely to peak in the month of August.

He said this during an ongoing press briefing at a Press conference in Alausa. He states that “Based on postulations, COVID-19 cases are like to peak next month; we are hoping it peaks soon and the curve eventually gets flattened.”

“We are increasing our capacity and strategies to deal with this situation.”

Lagos is one among the States in Nigeria with high concentrated cases of COVID-19 amounting to 13,806, followed by the Federal Capital Territory with 3,297 cumulative cases
