Health, Safety and Environmental expert, Engr. Emmanuel Uwalaka has called for the adoption of United Kingdon Standard on HSE by developing nations.
The issue on best practices as regarding occupational Safety and Health in most developing countries has come to the fore judging from the high rate of fatalities, accidents and deaths in so many organisations.
But according to the HSE expert, there is urgent need for every Government to do the needful in setting up independent bodies to arrest the situation as it is done in the UK and other developed Nations.
Speaking at Ben Television UK, Uwalaka, from Occupational Safety and Health Association UK (OSHAssociation UK) Nigeria Region, states the mission of their Association and reasons why the Government of various developing nations, especially in Africa needs to seat up on safety best practices to ensure the safety of lives and sustainability of their economies.
