Child Safety Outreach 2.0 Holds July 25 — Free Safety Trainings, Health Checks for Schools and Families
Following the success of its debut in 2024, Safekids Consult announces the second edition of its flagship event — Child Safety Outreach 2.0. The free event aims to train and equip parents, teachers, and caregivers with practical tools to better protect children in today’s fast-evolving world.
This year’s edition, themed “Enabling the Guardians of the Digital Age,” is scheduled to hold on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Dini Connection Centre, Mafoluku (off Int’l Airport Road), Lagos.
Activities begin with a green carpet reception at 9:00am, while the main programme kicks off by 10:00am prompt.
This year’s theme, “Enabling the Guardians of the Digital Age,” focuses on arming child handlers — teachers, parents, and child caregivers with life-saving knowledge and real-world tools to navigate today’s child safety challenges both online and offline.
Activities lined up include:
- Emergency preparedness and response training for schools and homes
- Keynote lecture and Panel discussions on child safety, further highlighting the different aspects that parents and educators need to give more attention
- Free medical screening for attendees
- Children’s safety quiz competition
- Live musical performance
- Special showcase by the Neighborhood Kids’ Safety Club
- Prizes for participating pupils and schools
The outreach is open to educators, parents, and all child handlers. It offers practical safety knowledge with a touch of children’s fun and educational activities.
The first edition, held in February 2025 at Meiran Community Town Hall, drew nearly 100 participants and featured donations of books and fire extinguishers to schools.
This second edition promises to be even bigger and better.
