The Lagos State Fire Service has commenced her annual Evacuation Drill Exercise for Lagos State Public Servants themed, “Zero Tolerance For Uncontrollable Fire Outbreak”.
According to the Ag. Head, Lagos State Fire Service, Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, the annual exercise is geared towards acquainting civil servants with the dos and don’ts of fire safety, especially steps necessary for a safe escape from hazardous environments and unforeseen emergencies.
“The exercise was flagged off at the Round House Office of the Deputy Governor and will be taken to all Ministries, Departments and Agencies at different dates in both the main and old Secretariat complexes, including the State House of Assembly and other agencies of government outside the Secretariat”, she said.
Adeseye further stated that the exercise is a confirmation to the premium importance the government places on the safety of her workforce in particular and the citizens in general.
She said, “This is in line with the Security and Governance Pillar of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda of the present administration.” She stated.
