Black Wednesday: Atleast 25 Feared Dead In Kogi Tanker Explosion (Sensory Images)

Not less than 25 persons were burnt to death in a petrol tanker explosion that happened in the Felele area of Kogi state on Wednesday, September 23, 2020.

HSENations gathered that the incident occurred at about 8:00 am when a tanker lost control and rammed into oncoming vehicles killing some workers rushing to work and some students

Personnel of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and other law enforcement agencies immediately embarked on rescue operations at the scene.

Efforts to ascertain the casualty figure proved abortive as operatives said they were busy helping the victims and gathering information.

The Felele end of the highway is notorious for such disasters. Tankers and trailers regularly bully other road users resulting in accidents on the road.

Those who perished in the unfortunate incident include students from Kogi State Polytechnic and some Primary School pupils who were on their way to school.
