SAFETY PROFESSIONALS AND TIME MANAGEMENT
PREAMBLE
The business models adopted in recent years deals very much with time management and business output so much that any delay by anyone can attract serious consequences from Management.
In the light of this, the Safety Professional in any industry should bear in mind that time is of essence and should have to do the following to win the heart of Management:

1. Be timely at safety briefings yet complete in delivery. This calls for good study and planing.

2. Be timely at tools box talk or pep talk which ever name is used in your company. Yet cover all that ought to be communicated.
3. Plan routine Safety audits with clear plans and resources to ensure prompt delivery of reports.

4. Liaise with CEO to plan Management review meetings with available reports from audits. This will eliminate prolonged meetings and allow for good decisions.
5. Safety induction modules to be digitalized where appropriate this can be played over and over saving time and ensuring no complaints by both listeners and coordinators or tour guides.
6. Safety committee meeting agenda be articulated to achieve set goals. Ensure it is communicated to all stakeholders before the meeting so that they can prepare ahead of time thus reducing deliberation time.

7. Emergency Response drills be planned with time bound briefing sessions .
8. The Safety Professional should not distance the CEO with necessary informations obtained to enhance safety of the workforce or workplace.
9. Always be proactive and treat reactions timely too.
10. Let Timeliness be the attitude and to be seen in both presentations and actions.
