165 Fatalities, 119,791 Affected in 2025 Floods—NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has said that this year’s floods has impacted 119,791 people, left 165 people dead, and left 82 people missing.
This was disclosed by NEMA on Friday on its data dashboard.
Additionally, the government said that 8,594 homes were impacted, 43,936 people were displaced, 138 people had different degrees of injury, and 8,278 farmlands were damaged in 43 Local Government Areas (LGAs) throughout 19 States.
The organization said the majority of those impacted were women and children.
Imo, Rivers, Abia, Borno, and Kaduna states have had the most number of impacted individuals.
Abia, FCT, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Borno, Edo, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Ondo, Rivers, and Sokoto States are among the 19 states that are impacted.
