Overspeeding Costs Three Lives, Gets One Injured

The Federal Road Safety Corps (Ogun State Command) has confirmed that 3 persons died in an accident that happened on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway due to Overspeeding.

The State Sector Commander, Ahmad Umar, made this known in Abeokuta on friday.

According to him, a victim who survived the incident sustained a degree of injuries. Ahmad said the accident involved a pick-up van around Danco filling station in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

He said the pickup van driver lost control of his vehicle while over-speeding.

Mr. Ahmad was quoted as saying that “One vehicle was involved; a pick-up van with no registration number. The suspected cause of the lone crash was speeding, which led to loss of control. The van hit a truck and went up in flames immediately.”

Also, he added that the injured victim was taken to Idera Hospital in Sagamu for medical attention while the corpses of the deceased were deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.
