According to George Ayisah, spokesperson for the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMO), the tragedy occurred in the capital’s southwestern enclave, where the remains of an 11-year-old girl and her nine-year-old younger brother were recovered.

According to a NADMO official, the organization’s rescue teams have been moving about the capital, saving families and individuals in urgent situations.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased resided in a one-room house with their parents, and the flood waters from the morning rains destroyed the walls and invaded their chamber, sweeping away the two.

A neighbor thankfully saved the deceased’s mother and one of her children.

“These are flash floods, and the rescue crews are still out there, supporting individuals in tough situations following the rains. “People have been contacting our hotlines since the morning, and we have been answering them,” Ayisah stated.
