A road traffic crash in Ondo State has left 8 persons dead and 5 others injured.
The fatal crash occurred along the Ondo-Ore Expressway at Bagbe in the Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday.
The crash involved an 18-passenger Toyota Hiace bus with registration number ARC 616 XA and a truck with no number plate, reports stated.
It was learnt that the bus tried to overtake another vehicle when it collided with the truck.
According to reports, the crash occurred as a result of speed limit violation and dangerous overtaking on the part of the vehicles involved.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami confirmed the incident, adding that the victims were taken to a hospital.
