AfriSAFE is pleased to announce the appointment of Letisia Mbayaki as Regional Vice President, further strengthening its leadership team and advancing its mission to drive safety excellence across Africa.
Letisia Mbayaki is an accomplished Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) and ESG leader with over 15 years of experience across multinational organizations in diverse industries. She is widely recognized for her commitment to advancing safety culture, promoting sustainable business practices, and embedding responsible operations across the African region.
Her journey with AfriSAFE has been one of influence even prior to this appointment. From afar, she has inspired and contributed to the organization’s vision championing the values of safer workplaces and stronger safety systems across industries. Her transition into this leadership role marks a significant step in deepening that contribution.
In her new capacity, Letisia will oversee East and West Africa Region 2, working closely with the AfriSAFE executive team to expand regional engagement, strengthen strategic partnerships, and accelerate the organization’s impact across the continent.
Letisia holds a Master’s in Business Administration and the NEBOSH International Diploma. She is an Apollo and TapRooT® certified incident investigator, as well as a Certified Behaviour-Based Safety trainer.
Her expertise spans risk management, ESG strategy, business continuity planning, and operational excellence.
She currently serves as EH&S Lead for Greater Africa at Kerry Group, where she provides strategic leadership and governance oversight across production, supply chain, research, and commercial operations.
Letisia is a member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), and the NEBOSH Alumni network. She is also an alumna of United States International University–Africa, Strathmore University, and the University of Nairobi.
Her appointment reflects AfriSAFE’s continued commitment to bringing together visionary leaders who are shaping the future of safety across Africa.
