28 Candidates Vie for Leadership Positions as ISPON Election Begins October 17

The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) will on Thursday,

October 17, kick off its three-day unified Annual General Meeting (AGM) / Election.

HSENations can report that this landmark event is expected to unify the fragmented institute which is statutorily responsible for safety management in Nigeria and usher in a fresh leadership that will steer the affairs of the institute for the next two years.

A document sighted by this reporter indicated that 28 individuals have signified their intentions to vie for the available 12 elective seats on the Governing Board, including President, Deputy President and Members of the Governing Board.

Candidates for the seat of President include Evaristus Uzamere, Edward Uni Ajobo, and Chief Stephen Udezi.

Those that indicated interest for seat of Deputy President are Foreman Onuoha, Patrick Dakwal, Chief Ignatius Achilike, and Olusola Samuel Ogunleye.

Candidates for Governing Board membership include Alex Wakama Bukar, Ibironke Ajayi, Julius Eluemo Okoh, Onyekachukwu Okeke, Lucky Oderhohwo, Gilbert Nweke, Realman Obele, and Monica Nwosu.

Others are Harold Echendu, Macgregor Amininiye, International Ezewu, Omatseyion Nesiama, Theresa Jeremiah, Joe Oduah, Francis Iwu, and Ayinzat Obed.Also contesting are Tesh Mufunghi Kibikiwa, Ottomfonobo Akpan, Stephen Adesope, Benjamin Modebe and Isaac Oyedele.
