A lot of time, regardless of how many organizations try their best efforts as an employer, there is no guarantee that an employee will never be exposed to a workplace accident or trauma. How you respond to the resulting challenges, however, can make a big difference in how they recover, particularly when it comes to their mental workplace wellness.

1. Physical Stress

Noise and chaos, a sense of having no control over one’s space, flashing or harsh lights, extremes of temperature, fear for physical safety, and any other adverse physical/environmental conditions. All the above-mentioned things are physical stress that affects people’s mental health.

2. Stressful events.
People react to pain or painful situations differently. A typical example is dead, suicide, grief, accident, or injury (to themselves or others). An employee who lost a loved one may not handle the pain the way another employee will handle it. People’s emotional ability and balance vary, situations like this often affect employees’ mental health.

3. Organizational stress
While the other stress may be external, organizational stress is often internal, these are stresses that are caused by the working environment itself, those types often have a destructive effect on the mental health of the employees as they work. Harassment, bullying, threats, maliciousness, betrayal, chronic pressure, extreme isolation, toxic work environment, unresolved conflict, fear of unemployment, etc from employers or high-ranked individuals to lower employees may lead to organizational stress.

4. External threat
While the other above-mentioned factors can lead to serious damage, external threat is also another factor hich causes real damage to the mental health of employees. They include situations that result in lockdown, which affects workers’ ability to function the way they wish, robbery, evacuation, fire etc.

While it is often common for employees to struggle with their response to the trauma of suffering a workplace accident or injury. Slips, falls, bad injuries resulting from heavy lifting. It is also important that employers should often put into consideration how to solve issues that can affect their employers health issues.
