FHC: ISPON Warn Public Against ‘Faction’ PDC/AGM

The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) has warned the public against any Professional Development Conference/Annual General Meeting (PDC/AGM) stressing it has not called for any yet, hence they should be wary of any such development.

This is as ISPON ‘Faction’ Group led by Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba, announced a 40th Professional Development Conference/Annual General Meeting (PDC/AGM) scheduled for October 27 & 28, at NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja.

Recall that the ensuing leadership crisis at the Institute had brought the case before the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, in a bid to resolving the conflict.

In further proceedings according, the FHC had on March 1st, 2021, issued a judgement in suit No FHC/PHC/CS/ 112/2020, that sacked Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba as President of ISPON and restrained him from further parading himself as President of the Institute.

According to a Statement signed by ISPON President, Kaizer Ebi FISPN, and made available to HSENations, “The attention of the President and Governing Board of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) have been drawn to a widely publicized 40th Professional Development Conference and Annual General Meeting (PDC/AGM) purported to be by the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON).”

“This publication is therefore to warn and advise the general public and especially members of ISPON to keep away from the venue of the purported PDC/AGM scheduled to hold at NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja and online as doing so could amount to being roped into the same contempt of court hanging on Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba,” the statement read.
